Maddox’s First Day at Mother’s Morning Out!!!

Today was a very special day for Maddox and Me!!  It was his first day at Mother’s Morning Out!  We decided to get him started in the program b/c we are planning on starting him in the 2 year old preschool class in August….and since the MMO is one of the programs at the preschool, we figured it would get him in line for one of the spots and also get him comfortable to going.  Maddox did great and so did I.  Maddox just walked right in and started playing…..he loves being around other kids.

I did my Mom and Sisters hair while he was at “school”!  I picked him up at 12 and then went back to the salon to finish up my Mom’s hair.  We then all went to eat some good ole Bar B Que King, ran some errands (the dreaded grocery store) and when we got back home…..this little fellow was knocked out!!!  I laid him on his changing table to make sure his diaper was ok and he just slept right thru!!  He must have really wore himself out playing!!!

I was a bad Mom and didn’t get ready in enough time to get a pic of him before we left the house….so I had to get some this evening. He was looking so stinkin cute!

After his nap…we had the best evening together!!  We played and laughed and I just soaked up all those special moments we were having together!!!

Today….Maddox was a MOMMY”S BOY!!!!  He even gave me Big Kisses!!!!!

Gender Reveal Party!!!

Monday was such a big day!!!  I had been anxiously waiting for January 24th to get here so that we could find out if we were having a BOY or GIRL!  Honestly, I had totally prepared myself for it to be a girl but I truly had no idea to what the baby would be.  A friend did the needle and thread test on me and it told me GIRL…Also, I could only imagine a GIRL nursery.  On the other hand my pregnancy feels the exact same as my pregnancy with Maddox and I could only think of BOY names .

My  Ultrasound appointment was at 2:00.  As soon as the tech put the thing on my belly….there it was…nice and clear…a little hotdog!!!  Chris and I just giggled with excitement!!!

At 6, all my family and some close friends came over to find out if Baby C is a BOY or GIRL!!!  It’s really funny because no one around this area has heard of a Gender Reveal Party and so most people looked at me like I had 2 heads when I told them I was having one! ha!  But I’m so glad I did because I had lots of fun planning it and lots of fun at the party.  It was so special to share the breaking news with everyone in person!

It’s time for the Games to begin….I went thru my guesstures game and picked out cards that related to a baby or a boy or girl!  We did 4 rounds and Team Girl Won!

Now it’s time for Team Girl to battle it out in a quick game of Mad Gab!  I also went thru those cards and picked out baby related cards.  I called out each clue and the person to guess the right answer first got to pick an envelope.  I had 10 envelopes to choose from!

Time to open the envelopes…..could one of them have the REVEAL????

Okay so I tricked everybody and the reveal was not in any of the envelopes that got picked.  It is in the one in Aunt Jay Jay’s hand.  It worked our perfect b/c my sister was running late….she walked in just in time and Chris gave Maddox the REAL REVEAL envelope and he went running to Aunt Jay Jay and so she got to open it for him. 

Team Girl was shocked!!!! Everyone just knew it was a girl!  They wanted to see my Ultra Sound pics for proof.  As soon as they saw them…they said “ Oh my gosh…definitely a boy!!!”

What an Amazing Day!!!!  We are just so overjoyed about our Baby Boy and we can’t wait to start planning…names…nursery…etc.
